How to measure metal blinds?
When it comes time to order metal blinds, you will be offered two installation options – mortise and precision. These options refer to where your custom blinds will hang in your window, inside or outside of the window frame.
Inner window (niche). Measurement is required if your new blinds are to fit into a window niche. Please measure the width and drop in three different positions for complete accuracy, providing the smallest measurement. After that, our team will make any necessary adjustments so the blinds fit neatly into the window niche.
Outside window (recess). Measurement of the exact size of the opening needed for the blinds to hang outside the niche, over-laid on top of the windows. Pick how much overlap you want in the recess on both sides; we recommend at least 7.5cm on each side, plus top and bottom.
